Coaching with me is like going on a road trip and having a co-pilot who packs your favorite snacks and creates the space for you to write the roadmap and drive full speed ahead to exactly where YOU want to go. All while taking time for detours and photos ops along the way.
My style is open, honest and direct. I'm here to gently call you on your BS because that's what my younger self needed and I know that if you're reading this then it just might be what you need too.
For some background, after spending 8 years coaching functional fitness, I decided I wanted to create an impact beyond the 4 walls of a box (AKA a gym).
To do that, I became a beginner again and went back to class! And in 2019, I graduated from Lumia Coach Training and became who I am today, an Evidence Based Life Coach that helps people just like you make sense of all the sea of self-help that so many people are flailing around in today.
Here's how I do that:
I use research backed techniques to explain WHY you do (and don't do) the things that you do, and the proven tools YOU need to discover who you are and live confidently as that person.
On Fridays, I host an Instagram live series and podcast, Shit I Wish Someone Told Me, where my guests and I talk about all of the shit we wish someone told us about life, all relating back to THE most important topic of all: You. And how to figure out who that even is, how to accept that person and how to love that person unconditionally so that you don't have to waste anymore time or tears trying to figure it all out yourself.

When I started with Johnna back in December 2019 - at was at the lowest point I’d ever been with my body and knew that I needed to heal my mind. I’d lost 50+ pounds over the past 2 years but had been feeling so stressed about my image, was gaining weight back and overall felt horrible about myself. I wasn’t coming into her program trying to lose weight, I just wanted to heal my mind and the negative thoughts and shame I felt around my body. Johnna made me feel safe to discuss the shame I felt and gave me tools to help heal the negative internal dialogue I had in my mind.
We worked hard on identifying where my limiting beliefs came from and I started to learn how honor my body in ways that were not destructive to my mental health. I used to binge eat a lot after restricting heavily and it was an endless cycle of defeat for me. I couldn’t control my thoughts and it was manifesting physically with me. Even after losing a lot of weight, I gained body dysmorphia and used exercise as punishment. Johnna helped me recognize these negative patterns and offered solutions on how to flip the script in my brain.
Overtime, my thoughts changed. I started to fuel my body with healthy foods not because I wanted to become smaller but because I wanted to honor my body and become strong. I also started working out because of the way it made me feel and never used it as punishment again. After the 12 weeks were up, I surprisingly had lost 15-20lbs of weight I had put back on the previous year due to negative self talk and lack of control.
I came into Johnna’s program fully anticipating to just heal my thoughts, but I ended up healing myself in my mind, spirit and body and that’s exactly what my body needed: to be loved and honored and treated kindly and I ended up becoming healthier in the process.

I have said it once I’ll say it again, Johnna has completely changed my life. I have suffered from depression and body dysmorphia since high school.
